MEDVAL HIRES NEW FELLOW
MedVal Scientific Information Services, a full service medical communications company, announced the hiring of their 2019-2020 Postdoctoral Fellow, Jonathan Mitchell, PharmD.
As the 2019-2020 Medical Communications Postdoctoral Fellow at MedVal (joint appointment with PharmaWrite, LLC), Jonathan's responsibilities include publication planning, clinical writing, slide deck development, conducting gap analyses, and preparing MedVal's social media communications. Jonathan will also serve as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
Jonathan earned his PharmD at the University of Findlay (UF) College of Pharmacy, Findlay, OH, where he completed research projects in biology and medicinal chemistry. He served as a delegate for Findlay's Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) chapter and published an article reviewing changes to the 2018 Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) guidelines in UF's student-run journal, the Annual Review of Changes in Healthcare (ARxCH). Jonathan chose to pursue a postdoctoral fellowship in medical communications to use his knowledge as a PharmD alongside a passion for writing and prepare himself for a career in the pharmaceutical industry.
About MedVal's Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
Since December 2005, MedVal and PharmaWrite have offered a 1-year postdoctoral fellowship in the medical education and communications industry. The program also includes a teaching component with the opportunity to obtain a teaching certificate through the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.
