Ying Hou, PhD
Dr. Ying-Ju Hou received her PhD and completed postdoctoral training in immunology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, in New York, NY, where her research focused on the link between neuronal injury and innate immunity. At Danbury Hospital in Connecticut she gained additional research experience by developing a more sensitive diagnostic tool for the detection of B. burgdorferi, the causative agent of Lyme disease. During her career as a scientific researcher, Ying has submitted grant proposals, published peer-reviewed articles, and presented her findings at scientific conferences.
As a medical writer, Ying has developed a variety of scientific publications, primarily in ophthalmology. She has experience in the production of congress abstracts, posters, and presentations, and also has experience supporting publication planning, scientific platform development, and medical educational training materials. Ying is currently a member of the American Medical Writers Association.
